Where we can use Wedge Anchor

Wedge anchors are heavy-duty mechanical fasteners used to anchor objects to solid concrete. They are not suitable for brick, block, or soft materials. Below are common applications and environments where wedge anchors are typically used:


Common Uses of Wedge Anchors

Construction and Structural Work

Securing steel columns and beams

Mounting base plates for structural supports

Fixing formwork bracing to concrete


HVAC and Plumbing

Anchoring ductwork and pipe supports

Fastening equipment hangers to concrete ceilings or floors


Electrical Installations

Mounting conduit straps and electrical panels to concrete walls or floors


Industrial Machinery

Securing heavy machines or equipment bases

Vibration-resistant anchoring (with proper washers and torque)


Safety Systems

Installing safety barriers or guardrails

Fastening bollards or posts in parking garages


Commercial Fixtures

Anchoring shelves, racks, or signage to concrete walls

Installing car stops or fencing to pavement


Ideal Base Material

Solid, cured concrete (minimum 28 days old)

Not suitable for:

Hollow block

Brick

Lightweight concrete

Uncured (green) concrete


Tips for Proper Use

Drill the exact hole diameter as the anchor

Ensure hole depth is at least anchor embedment length and clearance

Clean the hole before inserting the anchor

Torque to the manufacturer's specifications
